Kathy States "I think everyone is always impressed by the blue heron and I chose bold color to make this painting more lively. To create the background for 2 of the paintings, I crinkled up plastic wrap and laid it on thick, wet paint. After I lifted the wrap off, I embellished the reeds and grass."
